Maggie Coblentz is a researcher and artist from Canada. Her current work explores how humans imagine outer space through science, technology, and culture. She works in the Science division at the National Geographic Society, and previously researched space food at the MIT Media Lab.

She is the founder of Fieldscape, an initiative that connects artists and scientists through field-based research and collaborative projects, expanding access to remote research environments. She is also a part of Lythologies, a decentralized research group interested in cultural narratives on climate futures.

Maggie received a Master of Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design. Her work has been featured in publications such as WIRED, The Economist, Scientific American, BBC, NPR, CNN, and Popular Science.
